Lazy Ambition is a San Diego-based independent film and media production company. We make films. Some big, some small. But it's all a labor of love. But who are we? We're a couple of guys (brothers, actually) who grew up on Long Island (mostly) and love film. We've been making movies in one form or another for about 10 years…and we've been tinkering with video for about twice as long.

Corbin Record

Duties: write (when coerced), produce (occasionally), direct (yes please), edit (ugh)

Fun Facts:
  • Can color a coloring book like nobody's business!
  • Loves to talk about…er, anything (especially philosophy, religion, and politics.)
  • Likes to describe wine in the most interesting ways (does anyone smell a hint of asparagus in that Merlot?)
  • When writing, enjoys crafting stories in which not all questions are answered, leaving the viewer wanting more.

Chris Record

Duties: write (sometimes), produce (often), direct (whenever possible)

Fun Facts:
  • Knows the words to a ridiculous number of songs from the ´80s, ´90s, and ´00s (luckily he only sings along to some of them.)
  • Makes a mean tomato sauce!
  • When filming, likes to create intense, often awkward moments (apparently they make for good scenes) and tends towards loooooong tracking shots.

Noah Balcombe

Duties: edit (hell yeah)

Fun Facts:
  • Is a Kung Fu master. Hi-yaaaah!
  • Has a twin brother and is married to his high school sweetheart. Awwww.
  • Always on a diet (Damn frappucinnos!)
  • When editing, always keeps a strong focus on the timing, emotion and message of the scene.
